Most visitors to Chattanooga will have heard of the 24,686 acre Prentice Cooper State Forrest being associated with world-renowned areas like the Tennessee Wall (T-Wall) and Suck Creek Canyon. But, few will have heard of the several high quality satellite areas also found in this large tract of land that are tucked deep within the park and hidden or obscured by lengthy approaches, seasonal closures, and general layers of inconvenience and adventure. Please note, these areas rarely see enough traffic to keep a foot-trail in place. Therefore, do not expect a convenient or even straightforward approach. Consult materials in this guide and supplement them with satellite imagery surfing and orientation at home. In other words, come prepared with a general sense of the lay of the land.
